I contacted Marissa following a destabilising break-up while I was travelling South East Asia. I had left my job to travel, and so, raw from the break-up, without a job, and on the other side of the world from any support network, feeling like I had lost all stability in my life, I sought out Marissa to start my inner work journey. I had a choice at that point - to return to my old patterns to get over my pain and distract myself away from things, or face it head on to actually work through it for the first time in my life. And that’s where Marissa came in, as a guide holding the door open to a completely new way of approaching life.
It is no exaggeration to say that my work with Marissa has been life-changing. In the week I spent in Kauai Marissa taught me a completely new way to look at the universe and myself, far beyond anything I had expected when I got on the plane for Lihue, Kauai. The work with Marissa touched not just the parts of me that I had come to Marissa to work on in the first place, but also parts of me that I had convinced myself I had moved past years ago, learning that I had not in fact healed them at all.
Marissa has given me the tools, the mindset and the confidence not just to help me work through what I consider my current issues, but also to move through life in an empowered and mindful way. The door to the world she has opened for me is something I have never experienced before, and I feel that I have the foundations for what I need to live a life of purpose for myself.
Working in Kauai with Marissa was a magical experience I will never forget. Marissa’s connection to nature is so powerful that I couldn’t help but feel connected myself, and the beauty and energy of Kauai makes feeling present and connected almost effortless. Spending time letting the Universe guide us through the nature of Kauai opened my eyes to being present, to feeling connected to everything, and to learning about myself and my own needs to navigate through this Universe. Marissa was able to read me at every point - from my emotional state to my actual physical needs - and was able to frame every moment around guiding where I was.
I am now continuing my travels, having let go of the “old life” Christian and his expectations of a “traditional” life flow in order to trust the Universe to lead me through a life that is truly my own. It is a constant roller coaster that both terrifies and excites me each day, and that is the work I am continuing to do. And that is entirely thanks to Marissa.

I would say I met Marissa by pure circumstance but I don’t believe that to be the case. After beautiful conversations I had the chance to work with her, and we dove deep. As someone who has an affinity for psychology, the human condition, self improvement and spirituality, I am no stranger to vulnerability and reflection, but I also tend to be skeptical. I’ve worked with a therapist for years but I have never experienced what I did with Marissa. It is easy to be closed off to certain practices, especially in the world of spirituality because there are many people who are not reputable, but I would recommend going into any session with your guard down completely if you want to make the most out of it. We got into the big stuff quick, and went into subject matter I realized afterwards that I’ve never verbalized or even thought about.
